If your home is worth 150,000 Euros, the average estate agents fee is usually around 3%-5%, therefore, your bill would have been between 4,500 - 7,000 Euros plus taxes. Obviously, the whole concept of 'Doing it Yourself' is to save you money and give you control. Think of your home as a business, usually the rule of thumb in any business is to spend between 30% to 40% on marketing and advertising. If you applied this rule, you would be looking at a marketing budget of around 1,500 Euros plus taxes (based on a 150,000 Euro property) and looking at this strategy you will be saving around 3,000-5,000 Euros plus taxes in commission fees.
